Other gels on the market contain only simple carbohydrates which can cause an upset stomach. This is due to a high concentration of sugar emptying into the intestines too quickly with nothing to slow it down. Not Maurten.

Since Maurten gels use only a handful of natural ingredients, their gels have a mildly sweet, natural flavor that is not overpowering and goes down easy. I like to describe it as a light maple syrup or agave nectar. 

The Maurten GEL 100 CAF 100 will deliver 25g of carbs, 100mg of Caffeine, and 22mg of Sodium for added electrolytes per serving.  It contains the same Hydrogel Technology as their other products that will enable you to consume up to 90-100g of carbs per hour without stomach distress.

Maurten Gel does NOT need water to consume it, whereas other gels do require that you also drink water to help digest them.
